Born in 1986, Shimonishi Kazeto completed a doctoral program at the University of Tokyo without earning a PhD. He writes primarily about philosophy and literature. He is the author of The Spiritual History of Creation and Annihilation: Living with an Unending Mind (2022, Bungei Shunju). Other writings include “The Mind That Is Born and Disappears: Wounds, Data, and the Past” (2023, Shincho), “Toward an Acting Spirit: Individual, Network, and Place” (2023, Bungakukai), “I Am Language” (2023, Gunzo), and “Do Not Die Gazing at the Blue Sky” (2024, Eureka).
