Kawashima Masashi is Vice President of Niantic Spatial and explores how to harness geospatial AI in the real world. He joined Niantic Labs, an internal startup at Google, in 2013 as a UX and visual designer, and worked on the mobile game Ingress. Niantic spun out from Google in 2015 and as a founding member, Kawashima also contributed to the launch of the ground-breaking mobile game Pokémon GO, in which players look for and capture Pokémon in the real world.
