Nohara Kayoko is a professor at the School of Environment and Society, Tokyo University of Science (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology), specializing in translation studies, linguistics, and science and technology communication. She holds an MA in modern history from Merton College, University of Oxford, and a PhD in translation studies from Queen’s College, Oxford. She is the director of STADHI, a joint project by the Institute of Science Tokyo and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and leads the industry-academia partnership program Hybrid Innovation: Creating the Future, tackling intersemiotic translation and integration of science, technology, art, and design.
