Born in 1992, Fujikura Asako is an artist whose practice primarily uses 3D computer animation to examine urban and suburban infrastructure and the spatial depths of their landscapes. She has recently developed a spatial practice with a focus on the logistical dynamism unfolding daily on reclaimed land and on emergent gardens in urban environments. Her recent exhibitions include MACHINE LOVE: Video Game, AI and Contemporary Art (2025, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo), Layers of Accumulated Time: Depicting the world we live in (2025, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa), and the Japan Pavilion exhibition In-Between: Generative AI and the Future at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.Last Updated: 2026.08
