Hachiya Kazuhiko

Born in 1966, Hachiya Kazuhiko is based in Tokyo. After graduating from Kyushu Institute of Design (today, Kyushu University’s School of Design) with a degree in visual communication design, he worked at a consulting firm before establishing his own company, PetWORKs. He currently teaches at the Tokyo University of the Arts Department of Intermedia Art. Hachiya’s major works, which frequently take the form of mechanical devices, include the communication tools Inter Dis-Communication Machine and PostPet , the jet-powered skateboard Air Board , and the personal jet glider OpenSky .Last Updated: 2023.05
