CCBT aspires to connect people with the city, build international networks, and create a hub for digital creativity. As part of these endeavors, it works with like-minded partners in Japan and around the world. CCBT is collaborating with MUTEK.JP, a Shibuya-based international festival that aims to cultivate and spread digital creativity, and the Canadian software company Derivative to hold two workshops led by members of the TouchDesigner development team.

TouchDesigner is a visual programming platform designed for all manner of interactive experiences. Its roots were founded in real-time visuals for live performance and today it continues that role for artists in the genre. This year’s workshop will take place at CCBT to introduce and educate new and experienced creators to the technology through practical examples.
The workshops offer a valuable opportunity for participants in Tokyo to gain more experience with TouchDesigner, guided by instructors with expert insights into the visual development platform.
