Born in Nara in 2002, Uemura Kazuki is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in architecture at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, where he studies under Professor Erwin Viray.Uemura’s work explores new perspectives and possibilities in architectural design through the use of digital technologies, like AI. Through workshops with international academic institutions, such as EPFL, he has developed approaches to integrating AI into architecture. In his graduation project, Uemura used AI to reimagine unbuilt plans by past architects in response to today’s societal challenges.Uemura’s essay exploring AI-assisted architecture was published in the March 2025 issue of the international architectural magazine a+u.Last Updated: 2025.08
