Taguchi Hitoshi

Born in Yokohama in 1973, Taguchi Hitoshi graduated from the University of Tsukuba School of Art and Design with a degree in plastic art and mixed media. Based in Tokyo, he stages performances and media art at theaters, art museums, and art festivals both in and outside Japan. He is active across a range of fields, including directing live music tours, creative planning for promotional events, and directing videos. Taguchi studied in New York in 2016 on the Agency for Cultural Affairs Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists. His major work includes HERO HEROINE (Japan Media Arts Festival 2018, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 2020) and directing the Edo-Tokyo Museum phone app Hyper Edohaku – Virtual Museum (2022).Last Updated: 2023.05
