Nakagawa Luna

Born in Tokyo, Nakagawa graduated from the Department of Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently enrolled in the master’s program in Intermedia Art.Her practice is informed by an interest in posthumanism, relationships with non-human organisms, and the boundaries between the artificial and the natural. Centered on collaborative work with plastic-eating insects, Nakagawa creates works that explore new relationships between the body and the environment while moving across the fields of contemporary art, fashion, and bioart.She was selected as a finalist for the Fashion Frontier Program in 2024 and as a recipient of the 9th Creator Scholarship of the Kuma Foundation in 2025.Last Updated: 2026.08
