Miyake Rika

Miyake Rika is involved in the planning and operation of commercial facilities and apartment hotels. She studied sociology at Keio University, focusing on publicness in urban spaces and places where people can feel a sense of belonging. While working professionally, she also studied at Kyoto University of the Arts, where she used Vietnamese street stalls to explore the design of everyday life through food. Spanning fields ranging from public space and food to commerce, Miyake also focuses on the everyday practices and small acts of ingenuity that shape relationships—between people, and between people and their environment.
