After studying international politics and graphic design at university, Kusunoki Naoko went on to study olfactory art in contemporary art at graduate school. Her work explores possibilities for scent-centered expression as well as how scent can be positioned within the realm of art. Based in Tokyo and Kyoto, Kusunoki founded YOUR EXCLUSIVE, a brand that specializes in perfumery that does not use ready-made products, and pursues a career that straddles both practice and research.
