Kaneda Masaya

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 2000, Kaneda graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo and completed a master’s degree at the university’s Graduate School of Engineering. Fascinated by numbers and structures since childhood, he currently works as an engineer while pursuing his own creative practice. He explores connections between clothing and digital fabrication, transforming the very process by which forms are assembled into expressions through clothing. In March 2025, he received the Excellence Award of the Tokyo Governor’s Award in the Free Category at the Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo 2025. He also completed the 2025 MITOU IT Program organized by Japan’s Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) and was certified as a “Super Creator.”Last Updated: 2026.08
