A textile artist who conducts fieldwork about “traveling threads” at various travel destinations, kan. studied textile design at Tama Art University, since when she has created works with plant dyes and embroidery, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, handicrafts, and textile cultures rooted in the land that she encounters on her travels. In recent years, she has curated T-shirt production and fashion shows with students in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa.
