Itokazu Mio

Born in Saitama Prefecture in 2001, Itokazu graduated from the Architecture and Building Engineering Program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of the Ryukyus. She is currently studying architecture at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. During her studies, she completed an internship at a textile architecture studio in the Netherlands. Her interests extend beyond designing architecture as form to the very process of “designing how architecture is made.” For her graduate project, she is exploring new methods and possibilities for creating architecture with fabric by harnessing the distinctive material properties of textiles.Last Updated: 2026.08
