Ishizaki Asako

Ishizaki Asako is an artist whose practice explores expressions rooted in street realities. Her creative activities encompass sculpture, video, and performance art. Ishizaki completed an MFA in Sculpture at Musashino Art University in 2023. Her notable works include “City Angle” (2021), which focuses on the relationship between the body and the slopes of Shibuya, and “Tracing City” (2022-2023), drawing inspiration from the interventions of skaters and graffiti writers within the city. Ishizaki reframes alternative perspectives on the urban environment by drawing on real experiences of drifting through city spaces.
