Born in 1995, Haryu Yuya graduated from Aichi University of the Arts in 2018, and then completed a master’s degree in composition from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2021. He won Best Newcomer at the 35th Japan Society for Contemporary Music Award for Composers, and first prize in the composition division at the 89th Music Competition of Japan. Haryu has studied composition under the likes of Suzuki Jummei, Kosaki Mitsuhiro, Yamamoto Hiroyuki, and Hisatome Tomoyuki. He is co-director of the composer collective Tampopo.Last Updated: 2024.04
