Umeshita Soma

Born in Kyoto in 2002, Umeshita Soma is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in architecture at the Kyoto Institute of Technology. In his undergraduate thesis, Umeshita employed architecture to express his thinking about how we might relate to death. In his current graduate studies, Umeshita is exploring the possibilities of architecture as a medium within individual and collective life by examining its intersection with digital and AI technologies, as well as its relationship to language.Last Updated: 2025.08
