Born in Shanghai in 1997, ssmtat graduated from the School of Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong and is currently studying at the Graduate School of Information Design, Tama Art University. He primarily works with 3DCG and sound production, employing generative systems such as Boids algorithms and L-systems as metaphorical expressions. He is currently researching narrative approaches to artificial life. Despite an aversion to insects and fungi, ssmtat finds their existence nonetheless endearing and is fascinated by the aesthetic experiences derived from nature. Last Updated: 2024.10
