Nakahashi Yuri

Nakahashi Yuri’s practice reexamines human habits through the behavior of her cohabitating cat. Her works include h(cat), an installation that records the movement of humans and cats using yarn in a space modeled as a living room, and adventure in comfort, a 24-day documentation of humans sleeping in beds chosen by cats. Nakahashi’s notable awards include the Sony Prize at the WIRED Creative Hack Award (2022) and the Good Design New Hope Award (2023). She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo.Last Updated: 2024.10
