Yamaki Shinya

Yamaki Shinya is a freelance art director and curator. He previously worked for Kyoto Prefecture’s culture, sports, and art department, overseeing cultural promotion in local areas, and serving as program director for art projects in the prefecture and efforts to foster regional culture. The art projects he helped develop in Kyoto included the use of digital art in tandem with local culture and cutting-edge technology to create spatial experiences, and contemporary art exhibits resulting from an artist residency designed to disseminate local cultural resources.
