Murakawa Ryuji

Born in 1998 in Sapporo, Murakawa Ryuji earned a master’s degree in spatial design for human life from Sapporo City University. While still a student, he became involved with Sapporo International Art Festival as an SIAF Lab Researcher. His installation LIGHTING:function (time) , which he made as his graduation project, won an Outstanding Work Award at the 28th Japan Society for Interior Studies Graduation Exhibition. After graduating, Murakawa worked on the technical team at Sapporo Cultural Arts Community Center, and then joined arsaffix Inc. in April 2024. He is also active as a member of smitharia, which does VJing and creates work using interactive video and sound.Last Updated: 2024.06
