Violeta Gil Martinez

Violeta is a Spanish culture manager, musician and Japanologist based in Vienna, Austria. After working at Ultra-lab for three years she joined the exhibitions department at Ars Electronica Festival as a project manager responsible for the Campus exhibition in the 2019, 2020 and 2023 editions. During her stay in Japan as a JASSO scholarship recipient she assisted in the organisation of events at Civic Creative Base Tokyo [CCBT] in Shibuya. Previously she was involved in several cultural projects such as the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño and Illustratour Festival at Matadero Madrid. She was graduated on Media Studies and holds a master in Culture Management. Besides, she is part of the queer feminist collective Sounds Queer? organising and promoting workshops and events on music and electronics. As a self-taught music producer, she considers curiosity the driving force behind knowledge advancement.Last Updated: 2023.04
