Ueda Kentaro

Engaged in research into interaction that utilizes modification of clothing through input interfaces that harness fabric wrinkles, Ueda Kentaro earned a PhD in engineering at Kobe University in March 2020. He met Fujimoto Minoru while a member of the Tsukamoto and Terada research labs at Kobe University, and he was subsequently involved in producing LED shoes for a tour by the music group EXILE in 2011. This collaboration led to Ueda’s present role with MPLUSPLUS, where he directs wearable fashion shows that propose styling methods using head-mounted displays. His personal collection is large enough to meet almost all the clothing needs for models in a fashion show.Last Updated: 2023.10
