Mori Atsushi

Mori Atsushi was born deafblind. Learning tactile singing and Braille to communicate with others, he entered Japan Lutheran College, becoming the first congenitally deafblind student to enter a regular university program in Japan. He earned a master’s degree in 2020 from the Tsukuba University of Technology Graduate School of Technology and Science, majoring in information accessibility. His bachelor’s degree dissertation was titled “The Difficulties of Understanding and the Process of Understanding Fantasy in Congenitally Deafblind Children, with a Focus on Assisting Supporters,” and his master’s degree dissertation was “ICT Use and Possibilities for Supporting Use among Congenitally Deafblind Youth.”Last Updated: 2024.08
