Kato Mui

He explores the intersection of humans and technology from the perspectives of musicology, media studies, and sociology. His PhD project examines the co-constitutive relationship between humans and AI systems in contemporary music-making processes through the lens of liveness, drawing on software studies. Bedsides academic work, he addresses the gap between the social and the academic in Japan, seeking to bridge it to socially implement scholarly knowledge in public spheres.
