Hayashi Aki

Hayashi Aki joined the Asahi Shimbun as a reporter in 2009. During her time with the newspaper, she was involved with launching various new enterprises and covered news about the economy. She left the Asahi in 2017 and worked at the Huffington Post Japanese edition before joining Forbes JAPAN in July 2018 as vice web editor and head of its BrandVoice Studio. From December 2018, she was web editor in chief for Forbes JAPAN. Between 2022 and 2024, Hayashi was executive officer of AlphaDrive, which supports new businesses, and a board director and content producer for NewsPicks for Business. In 2022, she founded Brand Journalism and serves as its CEO. Hayashi is a graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law.Last Updated: 2024.04
