Civic Creative Base Tokyo [CCBT], a hub for the public to explore socially engaged creativity at the intersection of art and digital technology, will relocate from Shibuya to Harajuku and reopen on December 13, 2025.
To mark the opening, CCBT will present a special exhibition by the artist collective SIDE CORE, as well as launch an experimental music project exploring the future of sound.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Civic Creative Base Tokyo [CCBT], a hub for the public to explore socially engaged creativity at the intersection of art and digital technology, will relocate to a site two minutes from Harajuku Station (1-14-4 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and reopen on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

To celebrate the reopening in Harajuku, CCBT will host a wide range of events, including exhibitions, performances, talks, and workshops, drawn from its annual theme \u201cFuture Commons\u201d which explores the notion of commons from numerous perspectives. Under the tagline \u201cThe City Demands Imagination.\u201d<\/em> CCBT invites visitors to reexamine the rapidly shifting conditions of our urban and technological environments and to engage their own imaginative capacities.

As core programs of the opening, CCBT will present a special exhibition by SIDE CORE, an artist collective that also served as a CCBT Artist Fellow in 2022, and initiate new projects that explore the future of \u201csound.\u201d These will be followed by presentations of works and activities by the 2025 Artist Fellows, continuing through March 2026.

Details of the programs and full information on the opening events will be announced from November onward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
