Her practice fuses electronics art and crafts with the <em>gyaru<\/em> youth subculture that was one of Japan\u2019s signature female street fashion trends of the 1990s and 2000s. Inspired by the idea that today\u2019s <em>gyaru<\/em> can create things with electronics, she advocates a unique concept of technology for <em>gyaru<\/em>, by <em>gyaru<\/em>. Her output includes such original items as the <em>dekotora-cap<\/em> (hats decorated with electronic components) and \u201cdevices that you want to encounter so much it makes you shake.\u201d She continues to explore a creative combination of <em>gyaru<\/em> fashion and technology that can attract guys at nightclubs and parties.
